2012 GIRLS HS PRACTICES

Preparation for the season: 
As a club team we are at a disadvantage when it comes to a pre-season conditioning program. So the responsibility will lie with each player to get himself ready for the start of the season. 


I would like the kids to do the following on a weekly basis to get ready for the season: 
- Run 2 miles twice a week

- Run 4 50 yd sprints twice a week

- Run 4 100 yd sprints twice a week

- Do push-ups a week

- Do sit-ups a week

- Do as much stick work as possible 


You can do all of these with out any specialized equipment and should be able to accomplish this routine in less than 1 hour. You might have to bundle up due to the weather, but it will pay dividends once the season starts. 


Also, take advantage of any opportunity you have to get outside to improve your stick work--cradling, groundballs, catch, wall work, etc.
